Is Yala Peak suitable for beginners?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It is considered the easiest of Nepal’s climbing peaks: a snow slope of 30–40° and a short rocky section. You still need good fitness and a spare layer for summit day, and your guide teaches crampon and rope use at Base Camp.

What is the weather like?

Spring (March–May) and autumn (late September–November) have the clearest weather. In winter it is very cold; in monsoon the trail can be wet and leech-prone below Lama Hotel.

Can I extend with Langtang valley sightseeing?

Accepted Answer

The route already passes Kyanjin Ri and the cheese factory. For more days in the valley, ask us for the Langtang Valley and Yala Peak combination.

Question 4

Why drive instead of fly?

Accepted Answer

Langtang is reached by road from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, so there is no mountain flight and no flight-cancellation risk.

Question 5

What if there is too much snow on summit day?

Accepted Answer

There is one spare day built in. If conditions remain unsafe, the guides do not climb; trek and camp services are still delivered.
